Aromatic amines are an important structure used for various functional materials. In recent years, the development of an efficient synthesis of aromatic amines have been fascinating organic chemists.
We have found that gold works as a catalyst for amination (sulfonimidation) of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH).
Various PAH such as naphthalene, phenanthrene, chrysene, pyrene can be applied to the reaction.
