The direct functionalization of C─H bonds of organic compounds has recently emerged as a powerful and ideal method for carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bond formation. This enterprise not only streamlines the state-of-the-art synthesis of useful molecular entities, but also contributes to changing the way chemists plan and execute chemical synthesis. This review will provide an overview of synthetic campaign of chemists utilizing C─H bond functionalization for rapidly synthesizing biologically active compounds.

Key-words: C─H bond functionalization, Natural product, Drug
